Mass Effect 3 -ending- by Chikiyo-Wolf Mass Effect 3 -ending- by Chikiyo-Wolf
*Spoiler alert*

Seriously... all the work, all the decisions, all the missions and Bioware only gives you a RGB choice with "almost" the same ending (no matter what you choose). That was like a big middle finger to all the people out there who loves Mass Effect! ¬¬

Another great and funny picture which perfectly describes my reaction to the endings of Mass Effect 3! :D (Big Grin) Clap At the end of the game I felt like my decisions were thrown out of the window and when Bioware announced that Shepard won't be in the 4th Mass Effect game they also threw Shepard out of the window along with my decisions (It looks like that to me.) but in general I love Mass Effect Trilogy. The only thing that I don't like is the end of the ME 3. :( (Sad)  I think that Shepard deserves much better endings with closure.

I'm totally agree! In fact, ME3 was an excellent game. The whole story, saving the Krogan from the genophage, helping Tali to recover her planet, travel around the galaxy to achieve a giant fleet with all the races to perform a final attack... all of that was awesome... but the ending ... that ending was something that I can't explain. It was so terrible that I lost all my faith in the ME trilogy. I heard that ME will return for next-gen, but believe me... I'm not interested. -_-

I heard that too but since Bioware couldn't give Shepard proper ending with closure I'm not interested in it either because I'm so not going to invest another 30-100 hours of my free time (depends from how many next-gen ME games will be released with this new main character) only in order to more likely see how my deciosions along with this new character will be thrown out of the window again.

What interests me is the considering the fact that how bad was the endings of ME 3 how many people will buy this next-gen Mass Effect?!

You're right. I spent a lot of hours in every game, because I wanted to explore (almost) every possible decision. I also want to know how people will react to the new Mass Effect saga, but for me, the ME Universe it's over.

I wanted to see how my every possible decision which I made in every game will affect the end of Mass Effect 3 but no matter what I did or didn't do the result more or less is the same. There is so little difference. In fact I  noticed that there is difference only when EMS is less than 3100 and which one of 3 ending options I chose. Yes I know that there is refusal ending which I saw on youtube but I never chose it because it basically says I give up which is even worse than those 3 options. Mass Effect Universe for me ended with Mass Effect 3. I doubt that someone will be able to convince me to buy next-gen Mass Effect.

Yeah, i'm way late to the party, but I figured I'd chime in here. I got the whole trilogy of games in June and just played through all three of them (when I could spare the free time). I had heard about how horrible the end was, so I guess I was preparing myself for something really bad, but you know what, I thought it worked out alright. I liked the three choices I was given. Like you Chikiyo, I choose to control the Reapers. I was playing as a paragon and I felt that my version of Shepard would take it upon herself to save her friends and the galaxy by controlling the Reapers to ensure they were never a threat. Destroying them could not guarantee that, and synthesis could end up being too close to a husk in her mind. Control was the only option.

Anyway, up to that moment, I was pretty satisfied (I even figured Shepard had to sacrifice herself, the whole third game keeps mentioning sacrifice and those dream sequences were not subtle). But the whole thing with the Normandy crashing was just odd. Not sure what they were going for there. The extended ending was nice, but I was expecting a bit more closure from it.

So yeah, two things that bugged me the ending. One was the fact that my choices didn't seem to have enough impact on the ending. Even going through all that work to build up the fleet felt like it didn't mean too much in the end. And even with the extended ending, I didn't feel enough of a closure to the story, and tied to the choices I made. My Shepard stayed true to Liara through three games, I expected something a bit more touching for the lovers. A well.

All that said, I had a great time with the games. I loved the characters, the story lines, the adventures and the gamplay. I'm not much of a shooter game player (more of an single player RPG fan). But I had a great time with these.

Still if Miranda had been played by Fernanda, the whole series would have been better. :)

Thanks for reading my out of date babbling (if you made it that far).

"... the fact that my choices didn't seem to have enough impact on the ending"

- Agree! -_-

"... all that work to build up the fleet felt like it didn't mean too much in the end"

-SUPER Agree! -_-

"...  I didn't feel enough of a closure to the story, and tied to the choices I made"

-Again... agree! -_-

"... I loved the characters, the story lines, the adventures and the gamplay"

- I have played videogames since many years ago and Mass Effect could be my favorite saga of all time... but the ending with the bunch of plot holes that it has, makes me wait to see if I can find a jewel in the next gen. Until then, my heart remains with the masterpiece: SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS :boogie:

yeah i know it seems that games now a days spend millions of dollers for graphic and gameplay but don't put a lot of effort into the campaigh cause game has to be able to stand up on its own without multiplayer i mean its fun but put more effort into storyline gameplay and storyline are the 2 most important thing about a game an exaple of a game thats good but has poor storyline is battlefield 3 i love battlefield but i always just played for multiplayer a game that has good storyline and gameplay would be like haft life 2 or skyrim and i dont think that this is the last mass effect because thats what they said about the last halo game and halo 4 is gonna come out in the near future
